Internships

This summer, I worked at Running Brook Hemp Co. in Killingworth, CT. I learned how to grow and harvest a wide array of medicinal plants, such as cannabis, calendula, tulsi, hot peppers, mint, and citronella. I also learned about the various benefits and uses these plants provide.

This internship was a large part of my research in Alaska. This is where I developed my skills in the hard sciences: Understanding how to create a good research question, taking samples, carrying out an assay, and analyzing results.

I recently ended a year-long ambassadorship with an overlanding trailer company called Symmetry Trailers out in Wyoming. For those who don't know, overlanding is a glorified type of camping where you're fully able to live out of your vehicle. I drove cross country with my mom to pick up the trailer and it's been adventures ever since! My social media handle is @so.in.tents on Instagram...pun intended.
