Creative Projects

My imagination and creative skills were nurtured early in life and I regularly apply them to my innovations. I love making things with my hands--especially things I can use--and I enjoy every second of it.

Fun fact: I have synesthetic experiences. They're different for everyone, but for me, it means getting strong visual associations when hearing or smelling something. It helps with my creative process!

Image: This is my great-grandfather's knife from WWII. Its old leather sheath (left) was nearly falling to pieces so I made it a new one that'll last it a lifetime (right). Image unavailable on mobile devices.

I designed and built this shelf for my job at a zero-waste store

Not pictured: The secret storage handle I harvested from a giant grape vine in my yard.

1. I made this twinkly grape vine installation from vines in my yard and I thrifted and restored the free library on the left side.

2. My shelf from the picture above is on the right!

Aside from knife sheaths, I can make some pretty killer wallets.

Even though I have a fondness for knitting hats, I'm particularly proud of this cozy pair of winter socks.

These are some of the bucket hats I design and make for my company, Lefty Hat Co. They are modeled after themes in nature (peacock, fire, and opal are seen above).

In 2019, my mom bought her first house and gave me full freedom to convert the garage into my own space. This is what it looked like when we first moved in.

This is the garage today, and I'm thrilled with how it turned out.
